Civil Ceremony at The Miller Howe on Windermere, English Lake District

This is one of the most spectacular settings in our green and pleasant land, I love the English Lake District, it's so fresh and beautiful and the perfect back drop to a lovely intimate wedding.

Jeanette & Graham were to celebrate their marriage in the conservatory, we dressed the very unusual registrars desk with an abundance of soft gentle flowers and foliagesI've used Renate Roses, Singapore Orchids, Tuberosa & Euphorbia Fulgens in the registrars design
And lovely tall Delphiniums, Hydrangeas & Molucella in the pedestals Design

Jeanette has a real passion for fresh flowers and throughout the day we managed to use some of all of her personal favourite varieties.

Just by the candles I arranged a delicate placement of fresh Lily of the Valley, the heat from the candles would help carry the fragrance

On the Grand Piano I arranged a lovely arrangement of Arums & Delphiniums

The occasional tables were decorated with simple elegant designs using the hotels own bowls & vases

The simple cake was dressed with some complimentary fresh flowers

The apricot & cream wedding bouquet was designed in a traditional cascading style and included Roses, Calla Lilies & Lily of the Valley

Jason & I had a lovely day at The Miller Howe, the staff were superb and really looked after the wedding party superbly, the bedrooms were lovely and the food looked delicious, we thought it was a perfect venue for a small wedding like this. Here's a link

The very elegant Bride Jeanette & her daughter Helen

Graham & Jeanette the very happy couple and many congratulations to them both

A Corsage of Phalaenopsis Orchids & Lily of the Valley

The Groom wore a Cream rose Boutonierre

A waist corsage of Orchids & Lily of the Valley

The dining room is just gorgeous, after the ceremony we removed the Pedestal from the conservatory and placed it in the dining room

I placed tiny posies of fresh fragrant Freesia, Roses, Lily of the valley around the arrangement of tables, there was in fact one posy for each lady to take home

On each Napkin I placed a simple Ivy Leaf with a Delphinium Head, this sort of detail only works on such immaculately laundered table linen.

Helen, Jeanette's gorgeous daughter wore a wrist corsage

English Country Garden Wedding at Bartle Hall

This is Katie & Andrew's wedding at Bartle Hall the ceremony and reception were held in The Windsor Suite.
The Groom and his party with White Calla Lily Buttonhole and White Rose Buttonholes
Flower Design's Rachel did a great job of taking all of these photographs and of setting up all the flowers on the day.
Katie's Bridal Bouquet was created using a collection of fresh garden blooms including Lilac Lilac, Peonies, English Garden Roses and Sweet Peas.
Katie & I wanted everything to look simple, elegant, garden gathered, the shades to be pinkie with a slight hint of coral, palest watery pastel shades including soft lilac and pale greens.

Katie loved the bouquet we made for herand thought that it’s quintessentially English character was perfect for Bartle Hall.

Emily to carried a smaller simpler version of Katie's bouquet, the stems were left semi-naked.

We made lots of small tied posies that graced the windowsils during the ceremony and larger versions for the centre of some of the tables.

The posies included lovely David Austin Roses, Patience, Miranda & Juliet alongside fresh fragrant herbs and garden flowers.

Both Mum's wore corsages to compliment their outfits.

The Registrars table design then became the top table design it included candles to lift the fragrance of the roses. The Windsor suite looked gorgeous and as usual the banqueting team at Bartle were excellent.
After the ceremony the tiny posies from the windowsills moved to the tables and we sat them on crystal cake stands also decorated with scented rose petals.
Katie from The Little House of Cup Cakes made a beautiful cup cake tower.

Congratulations to Katie & Andrew love from everyone at Flower Design
