This was such a special day, not just a wedding but a Christening too!
~
We were all very excited and decided on an early start, Ruby, Malcolm and I had left The Fylde Coast at the crack of dawn, we'd headed up to Ulverston with packed breakfasts and lunches, prepared for every eventuality.
So first stop Chloe's Mum & Dad's house to deliver the Bridal Bouquets, there was a great atmosphere with everyone on top form anticipating a day to remember always!
The unveiling of the wedding bouquets went well, Chloe was truly thrilled and her fabulous Bridesmaids were all equally as excitable
Chloe's wedding bouquet was a profusion of English fragrant flowers, we used Peonies, Roses, Sweet Peas, Love in the Mist and lots more loveliness I'll tell you about later...
The FD wedding bouquet holding lesson was "perfection"
The Bridesmaid's bouquets were smaller simpler versions of the Chloe's wedding bouquet
This is Poppy whose Christening Day it was, we'd made her an exquisite headdress of tiny rose buds, delicate shell pink Nerines and wax flower florets
...A little more about the bouquet... I loved the varieties of Roses we used Amnesia, Vendella, Sweet Avalanche, Miranda, Metalina, Memory Lane.
Each of the gentlemen had a different Boutonniere
When we arrived at Church we were given such a warm welcome, the team that look after St Mary's are very proud of their hi-tech Church (They have Computer screens all around the Church so everyone no matter where they're sitting can see what's going on and follow the service) and we were given a full guided tour!
~
Stuart, Chloe's lovely Groom arrived along with his Groom's Men, we pinned on their Boutonnieres, Stuart had a very special design created from Lily of the Valley, Sweet Avalanche, Rolled Amnesia Petals, Eucalyptus, Alchemilla Mollis and Ivy Leaves.
Stuart and his Usher boys, Buttonholes all pinned on beautifully
Inside St Mary's, each alternate pew end had been dressed by the Brides family with wicker hearts, Ivy and pink Roses.
We'd created two fabulous pedestals, set in huge garden style urns on stone stands, to frame the marriage service, exquisite Delphinium Elatum, Larkspur, Hydrangeas, Peonies, Spirea, Roses, Dangly Amaranthus, Palms, Ivy Trails and lots of fragrant Herbs.
The Groom's Mum & Dad, we'd made a lovely wrist corsage on a black pearl bracelet of palest pink Cymbidium Orchids, Astrantia and white Hydrangeas
The Church was beginning to fill up with every generation.... from Great Grandma's
To the very handsomest of little boys!
The gardens around The Curch were just magnificent
Poppy arrived looking adorable
The professional photographer for the day was the very lovely Darren Athersmith
The completely fabulous Brides Mum wearing "Alexander McQueen"
The Bridesmaid's looked amazing, the soft gentle shade of pink was just a perfect choice...
The Bouquets were heavenly and toned exquisitely
Chloe and her lovely Dad arrived moments later
Just love the shoes!!
So first off the marriage ceremony
Huge Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Ellison
Then on to the Baptism of Poppy
...And the wedding bouquet just got "gorgeouser and gorgeouser"...
...As did the Bridesmaid's Bouquets, all of the blooms seem to relax and open up a bit like the guests do on the day!
Then we were all off to Storrs Hall for the celebrations
Jan was there to meet and greet our fabulous Bride and Groom, the team at Storrs Hall are completely brilliant, it really does feel like a very special place!
The marquee was dressed so beautifully with an incredible amount of detail, from the little heart table favours and vintage cups and saucers
I re-jigged the pedestals to make them fit inside the marquee
We created a combination of high and low table designs, gorgeous tall silver candlesticks topped with Peonies, Sweet Williams, Roses, Dill and Hydrangeas.
~
The lower designs were a mixture of designs including these lovely three tier cake stands containing little posies of fresh fragrant floral posies.
The crystal cake plinths were topped with Stocks, Roses, Sweet Williams and Peonies
The framed menu's looked superb
Silver Fruit Bowls filled with fresh fragrant vintage flowers and bottle of Elderflower Presse
The top table and cake table were dressed with our Flower Design "Hanging Gardens of Babylon" Design and it looked fabulous!
"You and Me Together" Hydrangeas
The cake topper included Rolled Rose Petals, tiny Blackberries, Love in the Mist, Hydrangeas and fresh fragrant herbs and Astrantia
The cakes looked delicious
All of the beautiful Bridesmaids and the gorgeous flower girl arrived
The two fabulous Mum's
Our work here was done, it was time to wave good bye to Jan and the Storr's team, the terrific Bell and Ellison families!
We would like to say a huge thank you to Chloe & Stuart for choosing Flower Design Events to create their flowers for their very special Day!!!!
