I used lots of perfumed materials, David Austin Roses, Fresh fragrant herbs and Cut Cyclamen
I always think that blue is a really tricky one to get right in the vintage palette, there's generally a pureness to blue that doesn't lend itself to the more faded shades we associate with "Antique" or " Vintage" colour palettes however, I've balanced the colours and the character of the flowers carefully, the deep blue Gentiana with the deep raspberry English Garden Darcey Rose, and then using the truly faded blue Classic Hydrangeas along with the berries and thistles, lots of texture and lots of "Chintz"!
Then to St Michael's the gorgeous little chapel next door to The Inn at Whitewell
I'd arranged a pedestal design using the churches on pedestal stand
In the porch area we lit lanterns amonst the very last of this seasons fresh Hops Love the vintage lanterns and fresh hops in the porch
St Michael's Church is the most rustic country church, it's right next door to The Inn at Whitewell and set in the most stunning scenery
The Lytch Gate was also draped in fresh hops with small posies of fresh Hydrangeas and Roses
A Sweet Avalanche Rose Boutonnierre
Paul, Kate's handsome Groom and all of the Ushers were wearing Sweet Avalanche Roses
Paul played the guitar in church for all of the guests, quite amazing considering he was the groom!
The Brides Mum wearing a Brooch of fresh flowers
Kate looked completely gorgeous when she arrived at Church
Kate's Pink & Blue wedding bouquet of Faith, Quick Sand, Emily & Darcy Roses, Gentiana, Cyclamen, Hydrangeas and Berries
The Bridesmaid's bouquets looked perfect with the deep midnight blue gowns, the steel berry and Gentiana really picked up the shot silk fabric
The Bridal Bouquet had the Brides own antique Sapphire & Opal Ring tied to the handle with deep blue ribbon
The Flower Girls exquisite vintage posies of miniature Cyclamen, Rose Buds and Gentiana just looked perfect
Huge Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Ritchie
Rose Petal Confetti
The Marquee at The Inn was dressed impecably, I loved the vintage style table plan and the splendid vintage cake
We used the fresh hops from the porch on the balcony over looking the riverBirdcages and Candelabras created a vintage feel to the table designs
Candle lit birdcages and crystal candle sticks adorned the tables at the lower sides of the marquee
Verdi Gris Candelabras were arranged down the centre of the marquee where there's lots of space and height, each candelabra was dripping with fresh hops, Roses and berries
The Bird Cage card collector
The top table looked fabulous with a larger Bird cage design and two smaller ones together with crystal candelabras and of course the fabulous pedestal design from Church just behind the table
The verdi gris candelabras looked perfect down the centre of the marquee
I really loved the clean and crisp feel of the white linen on the tables and chairs it really created an etheareal atmosphere
Huge thanks to Kate & Paul for choosing Flower Design.
