There is so much to report from this spectacular day, it included so many of my favourite people and favourite flowers, the weather incidentaly was perfect too, a bonus I think.
So Jason and I were up whilst it was still dark, we decorated The Grand before delivering the Hair Flowers to Daju in Wrea Green at 9:00, it was a hive of activity and excitement, next stop St Nicholas Church, the lovely Mr Parkinson let us in to decorate, then back to the Brides for the un-veiling of the Bridal Bouquets...
I do love this bit, the bouquets were a fabulous combination of Autumnal Nuts, Berries, Hydrangeas & Darcey Roses.
We'd arranged some vases of flowers for home earlier on in the week which were looking very smart on Saturday morning.
Then back to St Nicholas to light some candles and water spray these gloriously tall pedestal designs.
I'd included Ligustrum, Skimmea, Snowberry & Calicarpo Berries along with Pale Blue Delphinium, Hydrangea and David Austin's latest exquisite cut Rose Darcey.
On the ends of pews I arranged posies of Oak leaves, Darcey Roses, Steel berry, Eryngium and Dangly Amaranthus
On the Altar, Vicky had made two vases with Cream Vendella Roses, Gladioli & Snowberry, we decided to keep these designs quite pale so they'd stand out against the dark wood.
The Porch area is so welcoming, we'd arranged some lanterns and urns filled with fresh flowers and berries.
privileged to hear someone as talented as Mark singing when I'm arranging flowers, I can't imagine life gets much better.
Shirl had created this elaborate boutonniere which matched perfectly with Pete's navy suit, she'd included, Picasso Calla, Rolled Quick Sand Rose Petals, Eryngium Thistle and Steel Berry.
The Photographers for the day were new to me, though their names have been cropping up a lot on weddings for next year, so when I got back to the office I checked out their website, some gorgeous images, so well worth checking out, here's the Link
The lovely Groom's Mum Anne, she looked fabulous in her black & ivory ensemble, Shirl'd made her a very classy corsage to compliment.
The Black Schwartzwalder Calla Lily certainly dominated this corsage, with some rolled Avalanche Rose Petals and Black Berries to take us through the colours.
The Groom's Dad John wearing a Quick Sand Rose (Which matched the pale gold waistcoats perfectly) and an Eryngium Thistle and Ligustrum Berries completed this Boutonniere.
This corsage included Metalina Rose with Rolled Petals taken from Darcey & Quick Sand and some individual florets from a Delphinium Elatum.
Very elegant Sally Ward, you may recognise her as the Brides Mum on some of our earlier weddings here's a Link
These these two gorgeous ladies may also be familar to you, here's a link to where you've seen them before
The Bridesmaid's Bouquets were created to compliment the vibrant shade of their gowns, I'd included, Skimmea, Steel Berry, Snowberry, Ivy Berry, Schwartzwalder & Picasso Callas, Metalina, Amnesia, Quick Sand & Darcey Roses along with some Delphinium Florets & Hyrdarangea in pale blue.
I truly adore this bouquet, I though the colours were quite splendid, the palette I worked from was inspired by still life oil paintings of the Dutch Masters a combination of Plums, Figs, Golden Sultanas & Blueberries.
Naomi's sensational gown by Benjamin Roberts was from Dreamcatcher my all time favourite weding dress shop, they always seem to fit the gowns so perfectly that their brides are always so realxed and comfortable.
I Included a huge selection of vintage roses in this Bridal Bouquet, lots of lovely texture in the berries and thistles alongside a dramatic colour combination.
Mark entertaining the congregation, he actually sang at Susan & Nigel's (Brides parents) wedding thirty years ago.
Caroline was ready to meet and greet everyone with Peroni or Kir Royale (It would be a no brainer for me)
The guests were entertained with some smooth sax played by the great Calvin Henry photographed here with Howard Wing
The Tables were dressed for the main banquet with a selection of designs, this one has a Crystal cake stand topped with a selection of fresh flowers, nuts, berries & guordes
This three tier design incorporates lots of fresh flowers together with a slection of ornamental fruits including Crab Apples, Golden Hornet, Curcuma Fruit & Guordes.
The serious Wow came from these stupendous Bell jars filled with a fresh fruit jelly and topped with a dynamic design of Calicarpo, Willow, Brassicas and Fresh Flowers.
